NBA free agency rumors: Trevor Ariza signs 1-year deal with Suns
Trevor Ariza is signing a one-year deal, worth $15 million, with the Suns, according to Yahoo Sports.
Houston free agent Trevor Ariza has agreed to a one-year, $15M deal with the Phoenix Suns, league sources tell Yahoo.
Ariza is a solid two-way wing who averaged 11.7 points and 4.4 rebounds last season. He signed a four-year, $32 million contract with Houston in July 2014.
Ariza has spent 14 years in the NBA and won a championship with the Lakers in 2008-09. He has a career average of 10.5 points.
I’m told that Jabari Parker, who was born and raised in Chicago, has received interest from the Chicago Bulls. The 23-year-old is a restricted free agent, so the Milwaukee Bucks can match any offer sheet he signs.
Milwaukee selected Parker out of Duke with the second overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. But, he has struggled with injuries throughout his career.
Parker missed most of last season after he suffered his second torn ACL in February 2017. He returned for 31 games and averaged 12.6 points.
If the Seahawks are going to extend Thomas, it will be on their terms, not his. So their offer might be this: play out the last year of your deal or get the franchise tag in 2019, which would mean waiting at least two years for a multiyear extension as opposed to one more.
Thomas’ stance would seem to keep the Cowboys in play, but roadblocks would remain if talks became serious.
